Saturday, March 28th, 2009Kayvon makes history greeting first ever visit to Toronto by NBA Oklahoma City Thunder and superstar Kevin Durant
Saturday, March 28th, 2009It was a history making time in the fine city of Toronto today. The NBA’s newest member of their ultra exclusive club – The Oklahoma City Thunder made their first ever visit north of Lady Liberty’s border to play the Toronto Raptors in an evening match-up at the Air Canada Centre. The Thunder was formally the Seattle SuperSonics but in a battle of wits, money and greed among the superpowers who rein in the National Basketball Association – the team was ripped from Seattle and abruptly moved to Oklahoma.
It was both a pleasure and honour to meet one of my favorite ex-players – and now head coach Mr. Scott Brooks. As well, superstar player Kevin Durant took some time to sign autograph for us collectors.
As soon as my own meet-and-greet with the Thunder concluded – I bolted down to the ACC to meet my brother and take in the game which the Raptors went onto victorious circumstances when they won their third game in a row, 112-96 over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
