Wednesday, June 17th, 2009After enjoying some delicious foods outside CN Tower off Bremner Blvd. – I headed over to the Front St. entrance of Toronto’s Tower (where the usual collection of autograph hounds were lurking) to greet Beijing Summer Olympics Gold Medalist and world record holder Usain Bolt who was just arriving in Toronto for his big race.
While it’s been more then a dozen years since sprinter Michael Johnson was in Toronto – who can forget his disastrous 1997 race against Mr. Donovan Bailey – Mr. Johnson is also in Toronto this week as part of the festivities surrounding the Bolt 100 metre race.

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008I was sad to hear that legendary director, actor, and producer Mr. Sydney Pollack passed away yesterday. I have had the honour and privilege to meet the man on several occasions as he made his way into my fine city of Toronto. My amazing encounter with Mr. Pollack from The Toronto Film Festival a couple years back was actually the basis for the VERY FIRST episode of KayvonTV.com. We have decided to re-post that episode today to remember the man who brought us Out of Africa, Tootsie, and so much more. Cheers Sydney!

Mr. 3000 is starring alongside the very ravishing Charlize Theron in the Battle in Seattle. It was good to get a few minutes with Andre as he came 2up the red carpet for the premiere.2

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007One of the most anticipated feature film premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival this year is Battle In Seattle starring Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson. I caught up to Mr. Harrelson just as he was leaving the press conference to promote the film. Woody wasn’t in a very talkative mood (surprising, considering he just came out of an hour long press conference where he was continually talking) I did mention that my celebrity photographer uncle Firooz Zahedi does say Hi. Even managed to later meet a truly fantastic actor, director, producer and fellow Brit Kenneth Branagh.
