KayvonTV.com investigates Amy “Fine” Winehouse Grammy Award wins
Tuesday, February 12th, 2008It was good to see a fellow Brit capture so many Grammy Awards this year. But what is this Mrs. Amy Winehouse really all about? I set out on a quest through the lean mean streets of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada to see how people were feeling about Mrs. Winehouse triumphant Grammy evening. I even managed to bump into my good friend and fellow investigative reporter, Mr. Joe Warmington aka The Scrawler of The Toronto Sun fame. Of course The Scrawler couldn’t help but give his opinion of a certain young British starlet.
KayvonTV reports from CFL Awards in Toronto and interviews Milt Stegall, Cameron Wake, & Kerry Joseph
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007Toronto was a rockin’ this weekend folks. The Grey Cup was in Toronto for the first time in years and the city was partying like it was 1999. My first stop in our Grey Cup celebration weekend was an impromptu reporting assignment at the CFL Awards gala held at the Roy Thomson Hall in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was both a thrill and pleasure to meet such CFL greats as Milt Stegall, Cameron Wake, Kerry Joseph and more. And when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers dared me to do my Touchdown Dance – How could I refuse?
KayvonTV reports from 2007 NHL Awards in Toronto
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007
Hey folks! Since it’s the big Hockey Hall of Fame induction week in Toronto right now (HHOF by the way unfortunately still perennially snubbing my favourite NHL player of all time in the legendary great Glenn Anderson – bloody well way overdue there if you ask me) – what better way to celebrate than with a special action-packed video episode celebrating the National Hockey League and its stars of past & present here (plus catching a special few celebrity surprises selectively on hand as award presenters & co-hosts there)! This is my exclusive red carpet report from the 2007 NHL Awards that took place at Toronto’s historic landmark Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre earlier this year in June. The greats of the game were out in full force and it truly was a real pleasure and thrilling honour to meet them all there in person – Joe Sakic, Cam Neely, Willie O’Ree, Chris Pronger… just too many names & so much more there to mention so you’re just going to have to click that little play button above and watch the video for yourselves really! It was especially grand to meet the high commissioner of the NHL himself, Mr. Gary B. Bettman – but something tells me he didn’t appreciate the question I posed to him at this NHL pre-awards show ceremony (hint: Hamilton Steeltown ice hockey anyone?)
I even had a chance to brush up against Mr. Hockey himself, Gordie Howe. But folks, you’re going to have to join my official Facebook group to see that video. See you there!
Kayvon meets Glen “Slats” Sather at NHL Awards
Friday, October 5th, 2007Greetings folks! With the return of the NHL this week, we thought is was time for some NHL themed videos. What a truly hectic time and whirlwind adventure I had at the 2007 NHL Awards which were held at the Elgin Winter Garden Theatre in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Before we even got to the red carpet, I had a chance to meet the great Glen Sather - supreme architect and general manager of the Edmonton Oiler dynasty (home of my all-time personal favorite, Mr. Glenn Anderson.) Well… meeting Slats didn’t quite turn out as expected. Maybe he was in a rush to get to the really big show?
KayvonTV.com reporting from the 2007 MMVA’s
Saturday, August 11th, 2007The MuchMusic Video Awards that take place in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada each year seems to get bigger and bigger. The streets around the MuchMusic City-TV building are alive with people during the live broadcast of the awards show. I love reporting from this truly spectacular event. You never know who you might meet.
Kayvon rocks the mic with B19
Friday, June 22nd, 2007We’ve got multiple episodes of Kayvon’s recent journey through the MuchMusic Video Awards coming up. And boy does it end with a bang! But before Kayvon even got through Queen St. and up to the building where the awards are held – we ran randomly into a fellow Englishman. It was our very own SW19 rockin’ tha house with B19.
