By:Jaime Aron, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS DALLAS - Jason Kidd appears headed back to where his career began, rejoining the Dallas Mavericks in the latest Western Conference megatrade. Kidd is the centrepiece of a proposed deal between the Mavericks and New Jersey. Various media reports say Dallas will send emerging point guard Devin Harris, veteran Jerry Stackhouse and reserves DeSagana Diop, Devean George and Maurice Ager to the Nets, with forward Malik Allen going from New Jersey to the Mavericks.

NEW ORLEANS -- Jason Kidd wanted to be cautious. After all, he's been down this road before.
But his anticipation showed through. The point guard is closer to becoming a Maverick, with the proposed trade that will send Devin Harris and others to New Jersey expected to get submitted for NBA approval today.
This deal has been started and stopped many times, and it's never finished until the league says so.

It was a great treat to have Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson and The New Jersey Nets in Toronto to face the Raptors at the Air Canada Center. With the internet buzzing with reports of Jason Kidd’s trade to the Dallas Mavericks, I decided to find out for myself if it was indeed true. It was a fantasic day for me as I got to met guys like Darrell Armstrong, Jason Kidd, and Makic Allen and find out for myself what all the buzz is about.
