The term 'Ghetto' was originally used to refer to the Venetian Ghetto in Venice, Italy and then in Jewish ghettos in Europe, where Jews were required to live. The corresponding German term was Judengasse known as the Jewish Quarter. In Moroccan Arabic, ghettos were called mellah. The term came into widespread use for Ghettos in occupied Europe 1939-1944 with severely constrained conditions, where the Nazis required Jews to live prior to transporting them to concentration and death camps. A 20th century American co-opted usage of the term informs us that ghetto is a section of a city occupied by a sub-group who live there, especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure. The term "ghetto" is now commonly used to refer to any poverty-stricken urban area. In the U.S, "Rural ghetto" is used to describe mobile home parks, farm labor housing tracts, and Indian reservations. Urban neighborhoods where Mexican immigrants settled in the late 20th century (called barrios) are said to be comparable to ghettos, because most immigrants are clustered in culturally isolated enclaves. Parkdale is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the west by Roncesvalles Avenue, on the north by Fermanagh Avenue from Roncesvalles on the wes to the rail lines leading south-east to Dufferin Street, where it meets the railway at Queen. It is bounded on the east by Dufferin Street from Queen Street leading to the south and on the south by Lake Ontario. This section is roughly one square kilometre in area. It was founded as a village in 1879, joining Toronto in 1889. It was an upper income residential area for the first half of the 20th Century, with several notable mansions. The area changed dramatically with the building of the Gardiner expressway, creating a barrier between the neighbourhood and the lakeshore. This led to both an outflux of prosperous residents west, and a decline in the economy. Most of the residential buildings remain, but the composition of the residents is much different, including a higher proportion of lower incomes. The innflux of Crack-Cocaine also hurt Parkdale starting in and around 1987. Today, it is a working class neighbourhood, having problems associated with poverty, prositution and drug use but is also an area of considerable artistic activity. ghetto hood kayvon kayvontv parkdale toronto crack cocaine looking queens newark ny compton marcy projects low income parkdale toronto canada funny hilarious spoof borat crocker perez lol lmao kavon kvon toronto mtv the hour global hood visits investigates boys in the hood borat visit hood compton regent park jane finch toronto canada laugh looking buy crack prositutes prositution dealer bums homeless crips bloods ny queens brooklyn bed stuy crack mtv random guy walks through hood the hood the pj's King Street West ghetto hood kayvon kayvontv parkdale toronto crack cocaine dufferin drugs queens jay-z nas lil wayne biggie newark ny compton marcy projects queen new orleans atlanta visits hoods project brooklyn Sex Lil Wayne Low Chris Brown Naruto Anime Funny Comedy Jonas Brothers Music Usher Hannah Montana Jeff Dunham Miley Cyrus Jabbawockeez Touch My Body Love Song Fights American Idol Bleeding Love Mariah Carey With You WWE Roncesvalles east Lake Ontario cne canadian national exhibition Dufferin Street Queen Street Lansdowne Avenue, running north-south from Queen Street north to St. Clair Avenuejane jameson Avenue lakeshore boulevard Jameson Parkdale Collegiate Queen Victoria Public king Street.projects low income housing improv paridy series spoof parkdale toronto south side chicago visits jamica queens kayvontv rexdale ghetto hood kayvon kayvontv parkdale toronto crack cocaine jane strip looking queens newark ny compton marcy projects low income parkdale toronto canada funny hilarious spoof borat crocker perez lol lmao kavon kvon toronto mtv the hour finch global hood visits investigates boys in the hood borat visit hood compton regent park jane finch toronto canada laugh looking buy crack prositutes prositution dealer bums homeless crips bloods ny queens brooklyn bed stuy crack mtv random guy walks through hood the hood the pj's regent park alexander Park po projects low income housing improv paridy series spoof parkdale toronto south side chicago visits jamica queens kayvontv
