It was a great start to Canadian Music Week with the kick-off party to celebrate the launch of CBC Radio 2. I had the chance to chat with Mr. Richard Stursberg – Executive Vice-President of CBC. I was a bit taken back when Mr. Stursberg had some not-so-nice things to say about his rival Canadian broadcasters (presumably CTV and Global) and how they don’t do the “honourable thing” and support Canadian programs – but instead look to buy up the foreign stuff. Ms. Jully Black provided the entertainment on the evening. What a great start to the music festival!
