Owned and operated by Glassbox Television, the website is built on an Internet television model, offering music video and programs profiling new and emerging artists in alternative, hip hop, indie rock, indie pop and other genres. The site was launched on November 24, 2008.[1] In addition to its website, aux.tv currently airs content on BiteTV, a Glassbox-owned digital cable channel, and on Joost, an internet television service.[2] The service plans on launching as a 24-hour television channel in the fall of 2009 in Canada.
